International Presentations

Teaching strategy

  • Develop preparation, structure, language, body language and slide design skills 
  • Provide a lot of “up-in-front practice” to develop students’ experience – and confidence
  • Help students prepare presentations quickly; deliver presentations confidently

Schedule

  • One-day seminar: 7.5 hours
  • Two-say seminar: 15 hours (2 x 7.5 hours)

Organization

  • Pre-study: Students make one complete work presentation to use as “Before” and “After”

 

  • Day 1 

Students present “Before” presentations

Students receive a detailed checklist of skills they need to improve

Study preparation, structure, intercultural communication, language skills

Redesign time in class

  • Day 2
Study body language, slide design skills

​Redesign time for “After” presentations

​Students present “After” presentations / Question and Answer practice

S​tudents receive a detailed checklist of skills that they have improved / need to improve

Short 3 min. mini-presentations-quick preparation practice / lock in other skills studied
